A young man stands in his bedroom. It just so happens that today, the 13th of April, is this young man's birthday. Though it was thirteen years ago he was given life, it is only today he will be given a name!
a Peak Liberal Moment in X-Men was in the New Mutants series where Dani, a Native American, pushed David, a black student, to reach out to Josh, a white student they found engaging in a literal lynch mob who only joined them because everyone he knew rejected him for being a mutant.

This is really bad. I hadn’t looked up who wrote this but this is just bad. He’s not a former bigot, he’s just rejected by all the bigots he knew. He made a “PC” joke, and you’re making a black student reach out to him instead of the other way around?
Why shouldn’t it hang over him? He joined a lynch mob that was planning to entrap one of your students. Why do the victims have to be the ones to reach out to the people attacking them? What kind of excuse is “you were there”?
